Live Online & In Person: Herbal Bitters

Join herbalists, Liz Philbrick and Amber Graziano in this demonstration-style class and learn how to make herbal bitters from organic botanicals. Bitters are aromatic flavoring agents or medicinal extracts made from infusing herbs, fruit and spices into alcohol. Bitters have a long history of medicinal use and have returned to popularity via craft herbal bitters and cocktails. The bitter flavor of these herbs help to stimulate digestion while also supporting liver and gastrointestinal health. In addition to their medicinal benefits, bitters also offer pure cocktail enjoyment!

All participants will join us to discuss the different varieties of bitter and aromatic herbs, demonstrate how to make bitters and learn how to create custom bitter blends. Participants will go home with all the information they need to make their own bitters, and recipes. In person participants are invited to sip on a tasty herbal cocktail (or mocktail) with homemade bitters.

Class participants also have the option to purchase the Herbal Bitter Ingredient Kit to take home and start infusing herbs to make your very own bitter blends! This kit includes materials to start the process of infusing 7 different herbs that you can use to create your own bitter formulas.
